The 3.6 isn’t very great IIRC.

What about the 3.0?

My option is that everything after the b-pillar is ugly.

Its a meh car, like a camry wagon. Not great, not horrible. The 3.6 is pretty abysmal when it comes to reliability and serviceability though.

They’re pretty solid. Great looking. Interior is good enough. Will keep you entertained long enough while driving.

I think they look fantastic. Saw a CTSV one a few weeks ago. Clearance would be an issue if camping. I used my X1 to camp for years, but it has a bit of height.

I owned that exact color AWD performance with the 3.6.  I loved it.  AMA.

I kinda dig it. Neighbours across from my parents bought one new in black. I’ve only seen it from the outside, but it looked pretty sweet sitting there. They occa sionally were visited by someone with a blue G8 GXP, but I’m getting away from myself.

It’s a vehicle I’d consider maybe owning someday. It’s GM so probably just a generic truck trans, so AWD probably can have a proper tcase swapped in and then I’m sure the donk guys have figured out how to lift it by now...

What were you asking again?

The V is a beautiful machine, I could never hope to afford one (look up prices sometime, makes me cry). That was kind of peak design for Cadillac since the 50s, they've sadly regressed...

The previous gens were getting cheap for a while, but they were  ugly.

It was really nice.  I didn’t have any major issues in the ~2 years of ownership.  Had a wheel bearing needed replaced, but that was just a thing that happens.  I would have liked to keep it, but I also had automotive ADD and have a hard time keeping anything very long.  The AWD was nice, but I had one incident where it turned on quite suddenly and upset the car a bit.  I think it was very odd road conditions, like one side was, say, ice, so I really don’t blame the car.  Posh ride, cooled seats were awesome.  Got ok gas mileage, had lots of room.  Very very small aftermarket that wasn’t just gaudy bling (ultimately what probably did it for me).  General service and tune-ups were easy, IMO.  I recommend it.

Duuuuuuude

Ditch the silly wheels and get something like a 30X9.5... That would be SWEET.

Paging Mr JawzX2 . Your upscale vehicle for trips to the city in all seasons is ready. I’m pretty sure my mental picture of it  with truck wheels and snow chains fitted would make this badge hilarious.

I came very close to getting one. The 3.6L RWD model, but the AWD loses no performance. I really liked it but I got scared.

Just make sure you’re religious with the maintenance on the 3.6. You go too long with services, or cheap out on the recommended oil, that engine will lock itself up tighter than a tick’s butthole.

Nice car. Not as big as you might think. If you're going to camp in that, might as well just camp in the Spertcross.

They look terrible with a landau roof. What i have seen underneath looks alright. But the interior bits wear fast.
